Abstract: Methods of inhibiting fibrosis comprising administering certain pyridoxal benzoyl hydrazones or analogs thereof are disclosed. Preferred hydrazones are pyridoxal benzoyl hydrazone, 3-hydroxyisonicotinaldehyde benzoyl hydrazone and salicylaldehyde benzoyl hydrazone.
