1 Article 283 of the Treaty of Peace with Germany, Article 235 of the Treaty with Austria, Article 163 of that with Bulgaria, Article 218 of that with Hungary, and Article 270 of that with Turkey, as signed August 10, 1920, contain the following:

From the coming into force of the present Treaty the High Contracting Parties shall apply the conventions and agreements hereinafter mentioned, in so far as concerns them, on condition that the special stipulations contained in this Article are fulfilled by Germany..

"Telegraphic Conventions:

"International Telegraphic Conventions signed at St. Petersburg, July 10/22,

"Regulations and Tariffs drawn up by the International Telegraphic Conference, Lisbon, June 11, 1908."

Poland and Czecho-Slovakia undertake to adhere to these conventions by treaties signed June 28 and September 10, 1919, respectively.
