The volumes contain the following illustrations:-Eight Copperplates of the Manuscripts of Herculaneum; thirty-four Woodcuts of Interiors and Exteriors of celebrated Libraries; eight Plates of Facsimiles of the Types employed by Early Printers; seven Chromo-lithographic Plates of Book-binding, St. Augustine's Monastery, Canterbury; and several Plans of Ancient Libraries.
