O many as intend to bee partakers of the holy Communion, fhall fignifie their names to the Presbyter or Curate over night, or elfe in the morning afore the beginning of Morning Prayer, or immediatly after.

And if any of those bee an open and notorious e vil liver, fo that the Church by him is offended, or have done any wrong to his neighbours by word or deed the Presbyter or Curate having knowledge thereof, thall call him, and advertise him, in any wife not to prefume to come to the Lords Table, untill he have openly declared himself to have truely repented and amended his former naughty life, that the Church may thereby bee fatisfied, which afore was offended, and that he have recompenfed the parties whom he hath done wrong unto, or at the leaft declare himfelf to be in full purpose fo to do, affoone as he conveniently may.

The fame order fhall the Presbyter or Curate ufe with those betwixt whom he perceiveth malice and hatred to reigne, not fuffering them to be partakers of the Lords Table, untill he know them to be reconciled. And if one of the parties fo at variance, be content to forgive from the bottome of his heart all that the other hath trefpafled against him, and to make amends for that he himfelt hath offended and the other party will not be perfuaded to a godly unity, but remaine ftill in his frowardneffe and malice: the Presbyter or Minifter in that case ought to admit the penitent perfon to the holy Communion, and not him that is obftinate.

The holy Table having at the Communion time a Carpet, and a faire white linen cloth upon it, with other decent furniture, meet for the high myfteries there to be celebrated, fhall ftand at the uppermoft part of the Chancell or Church, where the Presbyter ftanding at the north fide or end thereof, fhall fay the Lords Prayer, with this Collect following for due preparation.

Then fhall the Presbyter, turning to the people,
rehearse distinely all the TEN COMMANDE-\
MENTS: the people all the while kneeling,
and asking God mercy for the tranfgreffion of
every duty therein; either according to the letter,
or to the mysticall importance of the faid Com-
mandement.

Then fhall follow one of these two Collects for the King, and the Collect of the day, the Prefbyter standing up, and faying,

Tmighty God, whole kingdome is everlafting, and power infinite, have mercy upon the holp Catholike Church, and in this particular Church in which wee live so rule the heart of thy cholen fervant CHARLES our King and Governour, that he (knowing whole minister he is) may above all things seek thy honour and glozy, and that wee his lubjets (duely confidering whole authozitp hee hath) may faithfully serve, honour, and humbly ahep him, in thee, and foz thee, accoding to thy blealed word and ozdinance, through Jelus Christ our Lod, who with thee and the holp Ghost liveth and reigneth, cher one God world without end. Amen.

Beleeve in one God the Father Almighty,

After the Creede, if there be no Sermon, shall follow one of the Homilies which fhall hereafter be fet forth by common authority.

After fuch Sermon, Homily, or Exhortacion, the Presbyter or Curate fhall declare unto the people whether there bee any Holy-dayes, or Fafting dayes the week following, and earneftly exhort them to remember the poore, faying (for the offertory) one or more of these fentences following, as he thinketh moft convenient by his difcretion, according to the length, or fhortneffe of the time that the people are offering.

And in pzocesse of time it came to pale, that Cain bought of the fruit of the ground an offring unto the Lozó: and Abel, he also bought of the firalings of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And the Lozd had respet unto Abel, and to his offring: but unto Cain and to his offring he had not respect. Gen. 4. 3.

Speak unto the childgen of Ifracl, that they being me an offring: of every man that gi veth it willingly with his heart, pee hall take mp offring. Exod. 25. 2.

Be shall not appear befoze the Lozd empty: every man shall give as he is able, according to the blefling of the Lozd pour God which he hath given you. Deut. 16. 16.

David blelled the Lozd befoze all the congregacion: and said, Bleed be thou, O Loza Go

Thine, O Lozd, is the greatnelle, and the glozp, and the vicozy, and the majesty: fog all that is in the heaven and in the earth, is thine: thine is the kingdome, O Lozd, and thou art exalted as head above all: Both riches and honour come of thee, and of thine own do wee give unto thee. I know allo my God, that thou trpelt the heart, and haft pleafure in uprightnelle. As foz me, in the uprightnelle of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. And now have I seen with joy thy people which are pzelent here, to offer willingly unto thee. 1 Chron. 29. 10.

Give unto the Lozd the glozy due unto his name, being an offering, and come into his courts. Pfal. 96. 8.

Lap not up for your selves treasures upou earth, where moth and rust doth cozrupt, and where theeves bzeake though and steal. But lap up for your selves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nog rust doth cozrupt, and where theeves doe not bzeake thzough noz steal. Mat. 6.19, 20.

Not everie one that faith unto me, Lozd, Loid, tall enter into the kingdome of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mat. 7. 12.
