Lunar haloes on the 9th and 10th. March 13th. crows noisy.
29th. Robins numerous, these birds have been more or less numerous all winter
in the neighbourhood.

The amount of snow will be seen from the comparative table, to have been unpre-
cedented. The amount for the winter, 1869-70, is the heaviest on record, 123.4
being nearly double the average fall, 65.3.
