With 26 large woodcuts filling a folio page, all bearing the engraver's mark V.G. [Urse Graff?]. This edition was edited by PHILESIUS RINGMANN, that is Mathias Ringman, who was the leading spirit of the Gymnasium at St. Dié, who in 1507 suggested that the new world should be called AMERICA. On the title page is a double Acrostic, MORS XRISTI and VITA NOSTRA, by this Latin Poet.
