Originally 2 vol. to 1778, but vol. III carries the history to the conclusion of the war in 1783. This third vol. is of especial rarity. Vol. I brings the narrative down to the early part of 1778, while vol. II is wholly taken up with vouchers and authentic papers. Hence this vol. III seldom found continuing the history to the Peace of 1783, is of prime importance.

One of the rarest of American books and seldom found complete. It was published in numbers with copper-plates engraved in Boston by Norman. This copy is in good order and has the portraits of La Fayette and Samuel Adams, as well as the exceedingly rare views of the Town of Boston with the battle of Bunkers Hill, and the Town of Falmouth burnt Oct. 18, 1775.

8vo. London, printed; Boston, reprinted by Thomas & John Fleet, 1780 The second vol. brings the narrative down to 1779. This first vol. to page 340 is in matchless condition, being clean and perfectly UNCUT. A perfect set is hardly known.

Trömel, No. 340, after Asher, places this book under NEW NEDERLAND, because by this Treaty New York was by the Dutch transferred to the English-bad cataloguing but good history. The book is essential to the American historian who desires to get to the bottom of historical facts.
