For the thirteenth Sunday after Trinity. Almighty and merciful God, of whose only gift it cometh that thy faithful people do unto thee true and laudable service; grant, we beseech thee, that we may so faithfully serve thee in this life, that we fail not finally to attain thy heavenly promises; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord.

For the twenty-fifth Sunday after Trinity. Stir up we beseeech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people; that they plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works, may of thee be plenteously rewarded through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For All Saints' Day. O Almighty God, who hast knit together thine elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of thy Son Christ our Lord; Grant us grace so to follow thy blessed Saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys, which thou hast prepared for them that unfeignedly love thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

COMMUNION. Prayer of Consecration. Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who of thy tender mercy didst give thine only Son Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the Cross for our Redemption; who made there (by his one oblation of himself once offered) a full perfect, and suffi

cient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction for the sins of the whole world;......,

Almighty and everliving God, we most heartily thank thee, for that thou dost vouchsafe to feed us, who have duly received these holy Mysteries, with the spiritual food of the most precious body and blood of thy Son our Saviour Jesus Christ; and dost assure us thereby of thy favour and goodness towards us; and that we are very members incorporate in the mystical Body of thy Son, which is the blessed company of all faithful people; and are also heirs through hope of thy everlasting Kingdom, by the merit of the most precious death and passion of thy dear Son.

PUBLICK BAPTISM OF INFANTS..... Regard we beseech thee the supplications of thy Congregation; sanctify this water to the mystical washing away of sin and grant that this Child now to be baptized therein may receive the fulness of thy grace, and ever remain in the number of thy faithful and elect children through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Seeing now, dearly beloved brethren, that this child is regenerate and grafted into the body of Christ's Church; let us give thanks unto Almighty God for these benefits, and with one accord make our prayers unto him that this child may lead the rest of his life according to this beginning.

CATECHISM. Question. Dost thou not think that thou art bound to believe and to do as they

Answer. Yes verily; and by God's help so I will. And I heartily thank our heavenly Father, that he hath called me to this state of salvation, through Jesus Christ our Saviour. And I pray unto God to give me his grace, that I may continue in the same unto my life's end.

Quest. What dost thou chiefly learn in these Articles of thy Belief?

Ans. First, I learn to believe.... Secondly in God the Son, who hath redeemed me and all mankind. Thirdly, in God the Holy Ghost, who sanctifieth me and all the elect people of God.

BURIAL OF THE DEAD. Priest.......Beseeching thee, that it may please thee, of thy gracious goodness, shortly to accomplish the number of thine elect, and to hasten thy kingdom; that we, with all those that are departed in the true faith of thy holy Name, may have our perfect consummation and bliss, both in body and soul, in thy eternal and everlasting glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Collect. O merciful God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection and the life; in whom whosoever believeth, shall live though he die; and whosoever liveth and believeth in him, shall not die eternally; ......and that at the general resurrection in the last day, we may be found acceptable in thy sight, and receive that blessing which thy well-beloved Son shall then pronounce to all that love and fear thee,

saying, Come ye blessed children of my Father, receive the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world :.

ARTICLE XVII.

Of Predestination and Election.

Predestination to Life, is the everlasting purpose of God, whereby, before the foundations of the world were laid, he hath constantly decreed by his counsel, secret to us, to deliver from curse and damnation those whom he hath chosen in Christ out of mankind, and to bring them by Christ to everlasting salvation, as vessels made to honour. Wherefore, they which be endued with so excellent a benefit of God, be called according to God's purpose by his Spirit working in due season: they through Grace obey the calling : they be justified freely: they be made Sons of God by adoption: they be made like the image of his only-begotten Son Jesus Christ: they walk religiously in good works, and at length, by God's mercy, they attain to everlasting felicity.

As the godly consideration of Predestination, and our Election in Christ is full of sweet, pleasant, and unspeakable comfort to godly persons, and such as feel in themselves the working of the Spirit of Christ, mortifying the works of the flesh.
