$225 [This is the smallest book in the world. Only 57 copies were taken from the plates on which the text was engraved, and the plates were then destroyed. Only one other copy has appeared at public sale. Accompanying the above is a copy of the mother book" from which the above miniature edition was made. Only 8 copies were printed, two of which were used for securing copyright, sq. 12mo., cloth, Cleveland, 1900. This copy was specially printed for Mr. Nathan Haskell Dole.] Omar Khayyám, The Rubáiyát of, Edward Fitzgerald version, printed on vellum, St. Dunstan Ed., limited to 18 copies for America and 12 copies for Europe, and no two copies alike, this being No. 22, with large illuminated initial on title and 101 other initials (two on each leaf, except the first one), large illuminated design on first leaf, lateral borders on some leaves, on other leaves are to be found designs of stars, etc., all the initials and designs drawn and beautifully illuminated in leaf gold and vivid colours by hand, full dark green mor., sides elaborately gt. tooled, doublures of buff-coloured mor., inside borders of green mor. with gt. tooling, fly-leaves of buff-coloured mor., in board slip-case, [New York] George D.
