[A hitherto unrecorded copy. In the 16th century it was in the possession of a certain Nicolas Benson, free[man] of the most worshipfull company of Grocers," whose autograph is found in the margins. From a later inscription it appears to have been Bought of the Rev. John Armstrong, Kingswell, Sat., April 24, 1779, by Berney Lovett," who is mentioned in Hazlitt's Roll of Book Collectors. According to Mr. De Ricci's Census, five perfect copies of this (first) edition are known, and about eight others imperfect.]
