God's Eternal Purpose: A Layman's Guide to the Epistle to the Ephesians
Xulon Press, Incorporated, 2007 - 440 pagina's
The epistle to the Ephesians focuses on and emphasizes the role of the church in the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose. That eternal purpose has many facets some on which the Apostle focuses in this epistle. Ephesians is concerned primarily with the body of Christ, the church and with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head of (authority over) the church. The epistle to the Ephesians is one of the most profound and magnificent writings of the Apostle Paul. This commentary is meant to be studied in depth by those Christians who wish to understand where they fit in God's eternal purpose. This epistle falls naturally into three categories: first, the blessings and privileges bestowed upon and reserved for the Christian whether Jew or Gentile; second, the Christian walk or the way a Christian ought to live; and third, the warfare of the Christian.
