At Meerman's sale, 1823, 53 vols. in the subscription, (morocco) binding, were sold for 4007., and the same set was afterwards resold at Hanrott's, with two vols. added, making 55 vols., for 4301., which set is now in the Duke of Buccleugh's library. At a meeting of the heads of houses of the University of Oxford, 23d March, 1712, it was ordered that a book, entituled Henrici Dodwelli, &c., Printed without leave, in which there are several offensive passages, be suppressed; and the said Mr. Hearne is hereby forbidden to sell or otherwise disperse or dispose of the said book under penalty of the statutes.
