PREFACE.

THIS Catalogue, compiled within five months, contains a collection

of Books chosen from the best Libraries recently dispersed in Europe,

and forms

pro tem. my stock.

The arrangement in Classes will, I trust, facilitate the selections of

Scholars and Collectors.

The Alphabetical INDEX of AUTHORS and SUBJECTS is a new feature

in a Catalogue of Old Books.

The prices, affixed to each article, being very moderate, and many
of the books excessively rare, I hope that Collectors and Librarians
will continue their patronage, which during the last twelve years
I received at 16, Castle Street, Leicester Square.

Supplements to this Catalogue are issued monthly.
