AN AUTHOR AND SUBJECT INDEX TO THE SOUTHERN HISTORICAL SOCIETY PAPERS, VOLS. 1-38
The Southern Historical Society Papers constitute the most trustworthy and comprehensive collection of original narratives, anecdotes, reports, and miscellaneous documentary material, representing the Southern cause in the War between the States, that has been published up to this time. So many requests come to this library for information that can be derived only from these Papers that an index of the titles has seemed necessary.
The index arranges in one alphabetical list the names of the authors and the subject words of the titles of all articles in the thirty-eight volumes.
