19. Now therefore ye are no more Strangers and Foreigners: bet fellow Citizens with the Saints, and of the HOUSHOLD of God.

Col. i. 20. And having made PEACE through the BLOOD of his Crofs, by him to reconcile all Things unto himself, by him, I fay, whether they be Things in Easth, or Things in Heaven.

21. And you that were fometime alienated, and Enemies in your MIND by wicked WORKS, yet now hath he reconciled,

22. In the Body of his FLESH, to prefent you holy and unblameable. and unreproveable in his Sight.

CHAP. XV.

1. The Confolation and mutual Love between CHRIST and bis Members, under the Parable of the Vine. 18. A Comfort in the Hatred and Perfecution of the World. 26. The Office of the HOLY GHOST, and of the Apostles.

Ver. 1. AM the true VINE, Cant. BY Night him whom and my Father is

the Husbandman.

2. Every Branch in me that beareth not FRUIT, he taketh away: and every Branch that beareth Fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more Fruit.

3. Now ye are clean thro' the Word which I have fpoken unto you.

4. Abide in me, and I in As the Branch cannot

13. Greater LOVE hath no Man, than this, that a Man LAY DOWN his LIFE for his Friends.

14. Ye are my Friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15. Henceforth I call you not SERVANTS, for the Servant knoweth not what his Lord doth but I have called you FRIENDS; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made

13. For by one SPIRIT are we all baptized into one BODY, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whe

27. Now ye are the Body of Chrift, and Members in particular.

2 Cor. xi.2. For I am jealous over you with godly Jealoufy: for I have efpouted you to one Husband, that I may prefent you as a chaite Virgin to Christ.

Ephef. i. 22. And hath put all Things under his Feet, and gave him to be the Head over all Things to the Church,

23. Which is his Body, the FULNESS of him that filleth ail in all.

Chap. iv. 15. But speaking the Truth in Love, may grow up into him in all Things, which is the HEAD, even Christ.

Chap. v. 2. And walk in Love, as Chrift alfo hath loved us, and hath given himself for us, an Orfering and a Sacrifice to God for a fweet-fmelling Savour.

25. Chrift LOVED the CHURCH, and gave himfelf for it:

16. Ye have not chofen himself a GLORIOUS CHURCH, not Thing, but that it should be holy and having Spot or Wrinkle, or any fuch without Blemish.

Bones.

19. If ye were of the World, the World would love his own but because ye are not of the World, but I have chofen you out of the World, therefore the World hateth you.

20. Remember the Word that I faid unto you, The Servant is not greater than the Lord. If they have perfecuted me, they will alfo PERSECUTE you: If they have kept my Saying, they will keep yours alfo.

not had Sin: but now they have no Cloke for their Sin. 23. He that hateth me, hateth my Father alfo.

24. If I had not done among them the Works which none other Man did, they had not had SIN: but now have they both feen, and hated both me and my Father.

26. But when the COMFORTER is come, whom I will SEND unto you from the Father, even the SPIRIT of TRUTH, which proceedeth from the Father, he fhall ris TIFY of me.

CHAP. XVI.

1. CHRIST Comforteth bis Difciples against Tribulation, by the Promife of the HOLY GHOST, and by bis Refurrection and Afcenfion. 23. Affureth their Prayers made in his Name to be acceptable to his Father, 33. Peace in CHRIST, and in the World Affliction.

Ver. 1.THESE Things have I fpoken unto you, that ye fhould not be offended.

2. They fhall put you out of the Synagogues: yea, the Time cometh, that whofoever KILLETH you, will think that he doth God fervice.

3. And thefe Things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

4. But thefe Things have I told you, that when the Time fhall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And thefe Things I faid not unto you at the Beginning, because I was with you.

5. But now I go my Way to him that SENT me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

6. But because I have faid thefe Things unto you, Sor row hath filled your Hearts.
