The arrangement of the Music is quite different from that in the edition of 1615. Curious references to the doctrines of the Anabaptists, the Zwinglians, and others, are found in his preface. At the end of the Catechism is added a singular relation of an imaginary dream, in which Luther appears to Gallus and complains of the deteriorations taking place amongst the Reformers. This piece, entitled Klagrede, was intended as a reply to the Querela Lutheri, published in March 1554. The book ends with a funeral sermon by Hieron.
