During the month of July there were received at the Library, by purchase, 901 volumes and 513 pamphlets; by gift, 3,169 volumes and 1,592 pamphlets; and by exchange, 14 volumes and 2,440 pamphlets, making a total of 4,084 volumes and 4,545 pamphlets. There were catalogued 2,038 volumes and 1,691 pamphlets; the number of cards written was 5,458, and of slips for the copying machine 1,424; from the latter were received 9,500 cards. The following table shows the number of readers, and the number of volumes consulted, in both the Astor and Lenox Branches of the Library, also the number of visitors to the Print Exhibition at the Lenox during the month: Circulation Department.
