RARE.. The "Columbian Society" was formed for the purpose of improving the City of Washington, selling lots, building houses, etc., etc. It was apparently formed by one James Greenleaf (who signs the broadside), and who was probably a large owner of vacant property there, as he agrees to supply 200 house lots at a price of $300 per lot, one-tenth payable at the execution of the Articles, and one-tenth annually thereafter without interest.
