Eleazar Wheelock, known originally as the "Moore Charity School," in 1754, at Lebanon, and from thence transferred to Hanover, N. H., where it formed the germ of the institution now known as Dartmouth College. Among the school's first pupils were the Mohawk warrior Brant, and the Mohegan Indian,
