by Weston, with a Persian-English Index, royal
1815
8vo. bds. 7s
"Firdousee is unquestionably the greatest of the Per-
sian poets, and will be the most popular with European
readers, on account of the general ease and flow of his
diction, his adherence to nature and common sense, the
fertility of his imagination, the occasional grandeur and
force of his ideas, and the feeling and pathos of his
moral reflections, animated and augmented by the in-
imitable simplicity of the Language."-Lumsden.
