Vols. I.-XI. contain 2,467 hand-coloured drawings where possible drawn to natural size. The botanical names and descriptions are written on the back of each, but in a few cases have not been completed. The drawings include Aloes, Gasterias, Mesenbrianthemums (or Ficoides), Fungi, Ferns, etc. Each volume contains two lists of contents-one indexed under the usual French name-the other under the Latin name.

Vol. XII. has two GENERAL INDEXES arranged in the same manner, also a long list of diseases, etc., with plants useful for remedy and cure thereof." This volume also contains 2,514 coloured drawings in miniature the purpose of which is contained in the following" avertissement" :
