The Star of the Sea sets sail for New York from Ireland during the winter of 1847. Passengers included hundreds of refugees escaping famine and injustice. Among them are a maid with a devastating secret, the bankrupt Lord Merridith and his family, and a murderer loathing for vengence. As the ship advances to America, her passengers hold on to their passionate pasts resulting in a culmination to a dramatic climax.
