A pretty edition in Latin, neatly printed in italic type, and containing the life of Æsop by Maximus Planudes.

2 AGRICULTURE.-Rothamsted Experimental Station Library. Catalogue of the printed books on Agriculture. Published between 1471 and 1840. With notes on the authors by Mary S. Aslin. 1926. 8vo, numerous reproductions of title-pages, cloth, 12s.

The Chronicle is dedicated by the editor, Reinerus Reineccius, to Henricus Ranzovius, the Danish viceroy in Schleswig and Holstein, and has a woodcut portrait of him facing the dedication. It is printed by the first printer at Helmstadt.

A fine specimen of the Aldine Press, printed with types resembling those used by the founder in his folio volumes produced in the fifteenth century.

A fine tall copy (measuring 158 mill. in height) of the FIRST EDITION of Sophocles, with the title-page of the first issue as described by Brunet. Though "Commentaries are named on the title-page, none were printed in this edition.

Franck made his tour about 1656. The interest of the book centres in the places he visited. He was the first to describe salmon-fishing in Scotland, and his rules for flyfishing cannot be improved at present." He is also the first angler to name that curious fish of the Trent, the Burbot.
