the second and third containing the details of, and documents relating to,
the court's martial by which he was tried in 1811 and 1815. These docu-
ments will be valuable to the historian, as they contain important details
of occurences in Louisiana, from 1789 to 1809, and of events of the war
with England of 1812-15. General Wilkinson mentions in his preface
that he had materials for three more volumes of an equal size.
